
Background

The Consortium members decided in September 2021 to establish an OCX Interoperability Forum (OCX-IF) to ensure the seamless exchange of OCX models between SW systems. A Task Group (TG) coordinated by DNV and with participation from BV, Chantiers de l’Atlantique, PROSTEP, SSI/NDAR, and NAPA was established to prepare a proposal for how to set up and run the OCX-IF. The TG delivered their proposal to the OCX Consortium members in June 2022. The OCX Consortium members decided to establish the OCX-IF at the full member meeting on November 10, 2022.
The TG was engaged to work out an Agreement governing the operation of the OCX-IF. The final agreement was signed in August 2023 between the following OCX Members:

Two new vendors joined the OCX-IF on January 1, 2024:
- Dassault Systèmes
- SSI - Ship Constructor
The OCX-IF was operative in August 2023.
